Howlin Wolf es una banda americana de rock psicodelico... en Wild Life tienen de invitado en la guitarra al inigualable Ben Chasny, contagiandonos de recuerdos con un sonido directamente de los 70's con bandas de Hard/Blues Rock. En tan solo 2 tracks, uno de ellos intrumental nos estampan en la cara que la acidez del rock sureño, los guitarreos de Duane Allman siguen flotando, que no están olvidados y que en cualquier momento puede resurgir la escena psicodelica..... solo es cuestión de que se vuelva a crear una audicencia para ello.

Joined by John Truscinski of x.o.4 on drums, the trio laid down a series of layered drones unlike anything else in their catalog. After the disc-opening "Rembrance" sets the proper mood, the group kicks into "Four Trees" and establishes a new standard by which their stretched-out drones will be measured. Surface of Eceyon - Tussyan Ruins (tlr, 2003)

Uno de los mejores ejemplos de noise psicodélico que tenemos a la mano es Surface of Eceyon, poyecto de Adam Forkner, otro mas de los genios contemporáneos mas prolíficos. Conocemos su trabajo gracias a bandas como Yume Bitsu y espléndidas contribuciones como Landing, Jackie-O Motherfucker, We Like Cats (con Eva Saelens), The Microphones y muchas mas.

Incesante y con ganas de sacar ese niño interno ruidoso decide junto a Aaron Snow, Daron Gardner y Dick Baldwin miembros de Landing, formar una banda que pudiera llenar ese vaso medio lleno que tenían en su cabeza y formar Surface of Eceon o también Eceyon.

4 álbumes y un split con Kinski y Paik nos separan de este momento. Como parte de la serie de Ep's Purposeful Availment de Three Lobed Recordings, Tussyan Ruins y 25 minutos es de lo último hasta el momento de esta banda.

Wooden Wand. Horus Of The Horizon (tlr, 2007)

Es lindo cuando no recordabas la existencia de Wooden Wand y de repente wow! la reedición del wither thou goest, cretin aparece!
pero que diablos! con tanta producción como podríamos olvidarnos de James, ese sentimiento de extrañar a Wand no se puede aplicar y gracias a Dios, demasiado pionero para nuestros oídos, muy poco para lo que puede darnos este camaleón del folk, ha pasado por todo, drone, folk, acoustic, noise, raga y con éxito puedo decirles.
Keith Wood (Hush Arbors) y Satya Sai (The Vanishing Voice) hacen del aspecto vocal de James y que las cuerdas de The Omen Bones Band luzcan intactas a pesar de estar en una nueva faceta, Wand es aquel poeta espacial que luego podremos encontrar en Second Attention.

Tenias que estar suscrito para recibir este album, The Great Pop Suplement lo reedito en 2007 en un vinil de 10" actualmente fuera de stock.
