Sunburned Hand of The Man. Sunburned Hand of The Man

Sunburned Hand of The Man. Sunburned Hand of The Man (wabana ore limited, 2005)

"The story goes that this was a bootleg vinyl of a live recording done without the group's consent. When this was discovered, the group managed to have their dues paid and the recording was then released officially. How much of this is true, I don't know. For all we know, this could very well be a load of bullshit. The Wabana label later released this on CD. The record is mostly straight forward, krautrock-ish jamming. On the second track, the delay effects on the electronic glitches, the ubiquitous flutes and the constant yelling of the word "war" (or is that "whoa") make it an odd, but interesting little number. The last track is pretty fucking great however. It feels much freer than the rest of the album with cool vocals and very hectic percussion! Worth getting the album just for this piece, otherwise a let down. There's a horrible hell! A horrible place! Bad bad bad..."

Paul LaBrecque & Valerie Webb.

Paul LaBrecque & Valerie Webb. Trees, Chants and Hollers (eclipse records, 2005)

Head Of Wantastiquet - Mortagne (ecstatic peace, 2008)

Obra maestra.
